Long road trips are undeniably fun. From the traffic-free roads, the proud and tall trees, and the clear view of the sky… Isn’t it nice to have a glimpse of the simple rural life?
Quezon is one good province if you want to go roadtripping. There are various attractions waiting for you. Beach or mountain, it’s up to you. As for our squad, we chose to go beach bumming in Cagbalete Island in Mauban. After a night, we were already going back to Manila. It was already past lunchtime and we haven’t eaten anything. I googled top restaurants in Quezon, and the top spot of almost every list goes to Catalino’s Restaurant.
Catalino’s Restaurant is located in Brgy. Gulang-Gulang, Lucena City. It is part of Villa Javierto, which is a haven for those who enjoy antiques. When we got there, the gates were just open. We were actually confused because there were no people at the compound. We roamed around, and had a quick photoshoot at their beautiful garden. Haha.
Catalino’s Restaurant is located at the right side of the compound. The style and decors will give you a #throwback ambience.
Catalino’s specializes in Filipino food. You might say that it has nothing to offer which is different from the dishes your mom cooks on Sundays. Oh boy… You got to try it, and let’s see if you can say that again. Haha!
Catalino’s Restaurant seems to never run out of customers. And for all the customers that came in, halo-halo was always in their orders. Unfortunately, there was no space left in our tummies for extra serving. Well, next time, I’ll eat it for appetizer to be sure that there is space.
I can vouch that Catalino’s Restaurant won’t disappoint. Their servings are generous, their prices are reasonable, the food is delectable, and the place is adorable.
